Highest wear resistance and superior impact and abrasion resilience

Cast-In-Carbide is unique because it combines the strengths of both materials – nodular iron and cemented carbide – in a single piece, making it an unparalleled wear material for protecting rock processing equipment and material handling machinery.

Unlike welded overlay materials, which combine layers of different wear materials and are prone to cracking and failure under high impact stresses, Cast-In-Carbide is metallurgically bonded during the casting process.

Sandvik's proprietary casting process ensures high control of metal pouring, pressure, velocity, and temperature, ensuring a robust metallurgical bond between the nodular iron and cemented carbide.
